Full Itinerary:
Arusha to Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro(3 Days)
Day 1 – Lake Manyara National Park
8:00 AM – Leave Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park
9:30 AM – Arrive at Lake Manyara National Park and start your game drive. During the drive, you’ll have the opportunity to see various wildlife such as baboons, elephants, giraffes, and the famous Lake Manyara tree-climbing lions.
12:30 PM – Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park
2:00 PM – Continue your game drive with more opportunities to see wildlife, including large flocks of flamingos at the lake.
5:00 PM – Leave the park and head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
6:00 AM – Leave the lodge early for Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
8:30 AM – Begin your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater Area for a game drive. This area is home to a wide range of wildlife including lions, buffalos, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and hyenas.
1:00 PM – Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park
2:00 PM – Continue with your game drive and see the crater from different angles and sight different animals.
5:00 PM – Drive back to your accommodation within the conservation area for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
7:00 AM – After breakfast, drive to one of the Maasai villages in the area to experience their culture and way of life.
9:00 AM – Visit Olduvai Gorge Museum, a renowned anthropological site where the Leakey family discovered the remains of early human civilization and historical sites.
11:30 AM – Drive back to your accommodation for lunch
1:00 PM – Take a nature walk around the conservation area
4:00 PM – Depart and head back to Arusha
During your visit to Lake Manyara National Park, you will have the chance to see flamingos, tree-climbing lions, baboons and other wildlife. In Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you can enjoy an unforgettable game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, visit the Maasai village to learn about their culture and customs as well as the Olduvai Gorge Museum to learn about Tanzania’s rich anthropological history.
