Full Itinerary:
Arusha to Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro (5 Days)
Day 1:
- In the morning, you will leave Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, which will take approximately 2 hours.
- Once you arrive at Tarangire, you can start your game drive and explore the park.
- Tarangire is known for its large population of elephants, as well as many other wildlife species such as lions, giraffes, and zebras.
- In the evening, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2:
- After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire and drive towards the Serengeti National Park, a journey that will take around 6 hours.
- You will have the option to stop at the Olduvai Gorge for a brief visit and learn about early human history.
- Once you reach Serengeti National Park, you will begin your game drive and explore the wildlife.
- The Serengeti is known for its large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other animals, and is also home to predators such as lions and cheetahs.
- You will spend the night in a camp in Serengeti.
Day 3:
- Wake up early for an optional hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti National Park for a thrilling and unforgettable experience.
- After the hot air balloon ride, enjoy breakfast and continue with a game drive in Serengeti
– In the evening, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4:
- After breakfast, you will leave the Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, driving along the way which will take around 3-4 hours.
- Once you arrive at the Ngorongoro, descend into the crater for a game drive and explore the wildlife that calls the crater their home.
- The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for the “Big Five” animals (lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo), as well as other species such as flamingos and hyenas.
- You will spend the night in a camp or lodge in the Ngorongoro conservation area.
Day 5:
- After breakfast, you will drive towards Arusha. On the way back, stop over in some curio shops and buy souvenirs if interested in any.
- Arrive at Arusha in the early afternoon marking the end of your safari adventure.
