Kilimanjaro Trek and Safari (15 Days)

Day 1-7: Kilimanjaro Trek

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a representative from Gosam Safari Tours will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Rest and prepare for your Mount Kilimanjaro climb starting the next day.

Day 2-7: Kilimanjaro Trek

Embark on your 6-day trek via the Machame Route, also known as the “Whiskey Route.” This route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. As you ascend, you will pass through five different climatic zones, witnessing a variety of wildlife and plant life. On Day 6, make the final push to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro, for a sunrise view that you will never forget. After reaching the peak, begin your descent back to the park gate where a vehicle will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel in Arusha for a well-earned rest.

Day 8-15: Safari Tour

Day 8: Arusha to Serengeti

After a good rest and a hearty breakfast, embark on a journey to the Serengeti National Park, renowned for its annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebra. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the endless plains spotting the big cats, elephants, giraffes, and a myriad of bird species.

Day 9-10: Full Days in Serengeti

Spend two full days exploring the vastness of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. You’ll have the chance to see the Big Five and witness a beautiful African sunset.

Day 11: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After an early morning game drive and breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Settle into your lodge located on the rim of the crater, offering stunning views of the crater floor below.

Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals.

Day 13: Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park

Leave Ngorongoro after breakfast for Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive. This park is known for its massive elephant herds, true sense of wilderness, and a gentle backdrop of baobabs.

Day 14: Tarangire Full Day

Spend a full day in Tarangire with morning and afternoon game drives. Besides the large elephant herds, the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, various predators, and over 500 bird species.

Day 15: Tarangire to Arusha

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. You’ll have the day at leisure, with optional activities depending on your flight schedule. In the evening, a transfer will take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of an unforgettable journey.
