Our Serengeti and Zanzibar Extravaganza is a 12-day journey designed to provide you the thrilling experience of Tanzania’s wildlife and the serene beauty of the Indian Ocean. Starting with the exploration of the wild Serengeti National Park, we’ll take you to the heart of the Great Migration and a chance to spot the Big Five. Then, we’ll transition to the tranquil Zanzibar beaches for some relaxation, culture, and water activities. The combination of adventure and relaxation makes this itinerary a perfect choice.
Itinerary Summary:
Day 1-3: Arrival and Serengeti National Park
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha for rest and orientation. The next day, you’ll be driven to Serengeti National Park, where you’ll embark on a thrilling game drive and witness the Great Migration in action. The following day will be dedicated to exploring the different regions of Serengeti, spotting various wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and many more.
Day 4-6: More of Serengeti and Olduvai Gorge
Spend another day in the majestic Serengeti, focusing on wildlife that you’ve missed before. On the fifth day, visit the Olduvai Gorge, known as the “Cradle of Mankind”, and learn about human evolution. After the visit, head back to the park for an evening game drive.
Day 7: Flight to Zanzibar
On day seven, you’ll fly to Zanzibar, the tropical paradise. You’ll check into your beachfront resort and spend the rest of the day at your leisure, enjoying the pristine beaches and crystal clear waters.
Day 8-10: Zanzibar Beaches and Stone Town
For the next three days, explore the beauty of Zanzibar. You can enjoy a range of water sports, visit the Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, or take a spice tour. Don’t miss out on visiting the historic Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and experiencing the local culture, architecture, and cuisine.
Day 11: More of Zanzibar
Spend your last full day in Zanzibar at your leisure. You could choose to relax on the beach, take a dhow cruise, visit the local markets, or indulge in some delicious seafood at a beachside restaurant.
Day 12: Departure
You’ll be transferred to the Zanzibar airport for your return flight. As you depart, you’ll carry memories of thrilling wildlife encounters and tranquil beach experiences.
