Southern Circuit and Beach Bliss (14 days)

Day 1: Arusha/Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park

On the first day of your Southern Circuit and Beach Bliss tour, you have the option to start your journey from either Arusha or Dar es Salaam. From there, you’ll be making your way to Ruaha National Park, which promises the beginning of an exciting adventure.

  • Option 1: Flight from Arusha to Ruaha National Park
    The quickest and most convenient way to reach Ruaha from Arusha is by taking a light aircraft flight. The flight duration is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. This option allows you to enjoy scenic aerial views of the Tanzanian landscape.
  • Option 2: Driving from Arusha to Ruaha National Park
    The road trip from Arusha to Ruaha is a long journey, taking approximately 10 to 12 hours, covering a distance of about 680 kilometers. This option is perfect for those who love road trips and wish to enjoy the diverse landscapes of Tanzania.
  • Option 3: Flight from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park
    If you choose to start from Dar es Salaam, a flight to Ruaha would take around 1.5 to 2 hours. This is a time-efficient way to reach the park, letting you commence your safari experience swiftly.
  • Option 4: Driving from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park
    Alternatively, you can opt for a road trip from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha. This journey will take about 8 to 10 hours, covering a distance of approximately 570 kilometers. It provides a great opportunity to see Tanzania’s changing landscapes and local life.

 

Upon arrival at Ruaha, you will be greeted by a representative from Gosam Safari Tours and transferred to your safari lodge where you can rest and prepare for the upcoming adventures.

Day 2-4: Exploring Ruaha National Park

Spend the next three days exploring Tanzania’s largest national park. Enjoy daily game drives, witnessing animals such as elephants, buffalos, lions, and perhaps even African wild dogs. Ruaha is also a bird lover’s paradise with over 570 bird species recorded.

Day 5: Ruaha National Park to Mikumi National Park

Transfer to Mikumi National Park via a scenic flight, providing you with unforgettable aerial views of Tanzania’s landscapes. Upon arrival, embark on an evening game drive, potentially spotting zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes.

Day 6-7: Discovering Mikumi National Park

Spend two full days exploring Mikumi’s diverse landscapes and wildlife. Morning and evening game drives offer opportunities to see large herds of elephants, impalas, and predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas.

Day 8: Mikumi National Park to Nyerere National Park

Take a light aircraft to Nyerere National Park. The afternoon is free for your first exploration of this vast wilderness, whether on a game drive, boat safari, or walking safari.

Day 9-10: Nyerere National Park Adventure

Spend two days taking advantage of Nyerere’s diverse safari activities. Look out for elephants, black rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles among other species.

Day 11: Nyerere National Park to Zanzibar

Catch a flight to Zanzibar, where you’ll be transferred to your beach resort. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and taking in the stunning views of the Indian Ocean.

Day 12-13: Zanzibar Beach Holiday

Engage in a range of activities in Zanzibar, from water sports and exploring historic Stone Town to simply relaxing on the beautiful white sandy beaches.

Day 14: Zanzibar to Arusha/Dar es Salaam

As your unforgettable journey concludes, you’ll take a flight back to either Arusha or Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your adventure with Gosam Safari Tours.
